hawo honoured as one of Germany’s most innovative SMEs
Success built upon entrepreneurial vision: hawo GmbH is honoured as one of Germany’s most innovative SMEs at the German SME Summit in Essen on 26 June.
hawo celebrates its 40th anniversary in style and joins an exclusive group of prizewinners stretching back over more than 20 years as Top 100 mentor Ranga Yogeshwar awards it the Top 100 seal of approval. The award to hawo is the outcome of a two-stage analytical procedure by a team of research scientists. This is the fifth time that the company has been honoured as a top innovator.
Dynamic innovation processes are a key factor in its success as a top innovator. Regular innovation meetings and active involvement in international specialist committees allow the company to take a fresh approach to new ideas. hawo is opening a competence centre (hawo CC) at the Obrigheim site this year, with the aim of promoting long-term, interdisciplinary dialogue and a continuous exchange of knowledge.
“Our company is currently looking back on 40 years of corporate success. Innovative impetus is important if we are to continue playing in the top division,” remarked company founder Hans Wolf, who is proud about having received the honour for five years in a row. The company’s new competence centre (hawo CC) is also currently hosting a forum for the exchange of specialist ideas and information, with space for up to 50 participants to develop their skills and knowledge. A series of lectures and workshops with top-level speakers is also being prepared, in order to keep the innovations flowing. “Generating good ideas and implementing them quickly is an important competitive factor for us,” explained executive director Christian Wolf. . “This is why we invest a lot of time and money into managing innovation. In doing so, we are relying on the creativity and inventiveness of all of our employees. I should like to extend my heartfelt thanks to them for helping us win this Top 100 award.”
