Face masks are considered as a ‚sigle use’ item. It should be emphasized that such a preparation can only be understood as "Ultima Ratio". Basically, the aim must be to provide sufficient suitable protective masks for employees who are at risk anyway.

No other topic is currently being communicated so strongly at international level as 'Personal Protection Equipment PPE', in particular respirator masks. In principle, such masks are intended for single use. Due to the shortage in the market and the massive demand, the reprocessing of masks is increasingly being discussed and in some countries there are already official guidelines available.
Basically, in many guidance documents, the packaging is mentioned before the next use. Due to the large number of masks to be sterilized, it makes sense to make the packaging process as effective and sustainable as possible without losing sight of process validation. For the production of such pouches in these large quantities our pouchmaker hm 8000 AS-V SealCut is ideally suited. When loaded with 2 material rolls, up to 1000 pouches per hour can be produced. Each individual sealing process is monitored. Thus, the process can be validated in accordance with ISO 11607-2.
The closure of the fourth page can then be carried out either with the pouchmaker in 'manual mode' or with a rotary sealer (e.g. hm 950 DC-V NanoPak).
